I did this card for two challenges this week: Tuesday's color challenge with blushing bride, cajun craze, and pool party. Dessert was our choice of green - I used artichoke. The other challenge was the sketch challenge. My image is the magnolia set from Flourishes. I water colored it. I used 2 pieces of coordinating designer papers and dry embossed on one of the circles. I embellished with a bit of pool party ribbon.
My name is Kim, otherwise known as Luv Flowers on SCS. I have a love of flowers and I like to stamp them, color them, grow them, and take photos of them. One thing I do not do is smell them, I let my boy Alfie do that. I'm allergic.

Fall my Favorite - TLC498, wrap it around
For today's TLC Judy asked us to use a block and wrap something around it, and then ink it up. We could use dental floss, yarn, rubber bands, etc. I chose some burlap. I also gathered a little piece of nature while I was out walking my dog this morning. I chose vanilla card stock to ink on and then dry embossed a part of it. I found a small sentiment and used my burlap for an embellishment. I love the textures, colors, and smells of fall. This was an enjoyable card to make.

WT495 - There is always something to be thankful for. Charles Dickens
Today Sabrina challenged us to use leaves in our card. I was kind of overwhelmed, or had a lot of ideas. I started going with what I thought was more color, but then nixed that idea. My card ended up more on the clean and simple side. I really love that quote by Charles Dickens. It is so true. If we gave thanks for as much as we complain about, we might actually be happier people. I have read a bout Will Bowen's book, A Complaint Free World. Our town is going to embark on this challenge in October. Our church is going to do it as well. The goal is to go 21 days without complaining. I am really going to need God's help with this. I know I complain a lot.

CC479, SC489, SUO, Morning Glories...
This card was made for 2 challenge on SCS: The Color Challenge that Peggy gave us, and the SC that Ally gave us. I like how it turned out. I don't do the sketch challenges as much as I would like. There really are some neat sketches out there, and I tend to fall into my regular patterns. I used the Morning Soft set from SU. I created my own dp by sponging garden green and pistachio pudding on white card stock. I watercolored my image on watercolor paper, fussy cut it out and then glued it to my two circles I punched out of dp. The cantaloupe flowers were cut out of dp as well. Thank you so much for the challenges ladies. Thank you to those who look and comment as well. You are encouraging to me. Have a great day!! :>)

PPUPBEAT1, Lined Azaleas...
I am so happy that Marcella is still drawing floral images. I love her stuff. I did their first challenge, however I made a mistake and used one of the actual stamps and not the digital ones that were requested. This is the azalea. I stamped it and fussy cut it out. I then took a black prisma and outlined it. They I used watercolor and some acrylic paint to dab the stamens. I paper pierced and added a few brads and the sentiment. It was a fun challenge.

CTD292, Nature and Patience...
It's been a while since I've done a color throw down challenge. The colors this week are a melon mambo type, lime aid, and a metallic silver. I love the color melon mambo, although it looks more of a red in my photo. Very cloudy skies today. Anyway, I used the SU set Nature's Pace. Thanks for looking!! Have a great day, and try to make time to be creative. :>)
