My name is Kim, otherwise known as Luv Flowers on SCS. I have a love of flowers and I like to stamp them, color them, grow them, and take photos of them. One thing I do not do is smell them, I let my boy Alfie do that. I'm allergic.

FLLC, Spring Poppies...
I had a great time making this card. I was sort of losing motivation, or just not knowing what direction to go in. My friend told me to find some dp and some matching card stock, and then to use a poppy image. So that is what I did. I'm quite happy with how this card turned out. It is a Flourishes image, and I watercolored it. The dp is basic grey. The cardstock is all SU.

Faux Linen (my first attempt)
This was the first time I attempted the faux linen technique. It was fun, and I like how my card turned out. I ended up using some ruby red, which I seldom use so enjoyed that. You can find the directions and a tutorial on SCS by Beate. I made my own dp with SU's En Francais and Bella Toille. My sentiment is from Tim Holtz. The sanded image was a freesia by Heritage Farms, which unfortunately is now out of business. Try this technique. It will help spice up your stamping life. :>)

WT326, Because I Care...
This card was made on the same day as the Ways to Use it challenge. We were supposed to do some paper piercing. I really was just making a card with the blue and pink designer paper and wasn't all that much thinking about paper piercing. I will confess, that I loaded it up under the challenge so that others would see my card. My friend Pam and I joked about my card having layers just like ogres have layers. :>)

CC325, Bright Spring Pansies...
This was my last card for helping out with the CC design team in May. Now this is what a color challenge is truly about. I felt the other colors went together well. These colors today were delightful daffodil, rich razzleberry, and pacific point (blue). This really isn't far off from what pansies can look like, but I'm not use to this brightness. I feel my card looks gaudy. I wonder if that is what others see, or if some like this type of thing. Anyway, I thank Bettty for calling me to help the team.
