F4A206, SUO, Flowers Everyone

I made this card for the Free For All Challenge on SCS today.  We were to use the word love.  I used all SU supplies except for the sentiment (I just realized that.)  The colors are cantaloupe, slate, and dark gray.  I used the two step flower set Stippled Blossoms.  The ribbon is gray, and the little button is a current cantaloupe piece.  The embossing was a striped one from SU.

The Love of Fall - Acrylic Batik

This is my second card made with the acrylic batik that was featured on SCS this past Wednesday.  There is a great tutorial on it found on SCS.  My bg is meant to look like tree bark.  It took me a while to find the right image to use with it.  I finally came across some old photos I had and used them.  I also added a bit of dry embossing for some more interest and texture.  Thanks for looking!!  Give this fun technique a try.

Acrylic Batik - Delphinium

The Wednesday tutorial done by Dina Kowal on SCS was acrylic batik.  I really enjoyed the technique and results I got.  For an explanation and terrific tutorial please see SCS.

Mojo330 - The Lord's Word

This card was made for this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I used my new Verve stamps.  The colors are actually pool party and island indigo and look prettier in real life.  I hate when you can't capture the real thing.  Thanks for looking!!

F4A204, CTD275, Patterns and Pansies

This was a fun card I created for 2 challenges.  The first was on SCS - the free for all.  Dawn asked us to use different patterns.  I combined this challenge with the Color throw down in which the colors are black, crumb cake, garden green, almost amethyst, and wisteria wonder.  I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder as a brick wall.  The sentiment is from Gina K.  Thanks for looking!!  I hope you have a great weekend!!  :>)

SC471, cQc224, Not Quite Right...

This morning I saw the sketch challenge and the color queen challenge and decided to put them together.  I'm not really loving how this turned out.  The colors look a little better in real life, but still not real good.  I have a cold and am not feeling the greatest, so I blame part of it on that.  I was glad however that I'm still sticking to my goal of using up my dp.

QFTD198, Sister Sandie...

This card was made for the 198th Queen For The Day, Sister Sandie on SCS.  The lovely card I cased of hers can be found here, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2411235?&cat=500&ppuser=262631

Sandie has a beautiful elegant style.  I'm not sure I captured the elegance, but it was a fun card to take my creative start from.  I love the 2 step stamping on this Stippled Blossoms set from SU.  I really enjoyed stamping over the newsprint styled dp.  I'm happy with how this turned out.  Thanks for looking!!  Have a great day.  :>)

Mojo Monday 327, My Main Squeeze...

I think this image is so sweet.  It is a Unity image.  I made this card for the Mojo Monday card challenge today - #327.  I embossed the rose red panel with the dot embossing folder.  I watercolored the image with rose red, brown sugar, and river rock.  I paper pierced the image panel and popped it up on dimensionals.  A cute, fun card!!  Thanks for looking!!  :>)

IC422, Vintage Lace...

This card was made for the inspiration challenge on SCS.  Audrie had pinned a whole bunch of sleepwear.  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387591111652338377/  That is the beautiful vintage gown that I used for inspiration.  I love vintage and antiques.  They remind me of the warmth from the past.  Thanks for looking!!

cQc222- Each Day has it's own Gifts...

This was a fun and quick card I made for the 222nd color queen challenge.  We were to use black, white, going gray, and gold.  I used a piece of dp with some gold in it and heat embossed my sentiment.  Fun!!  Thanks for looking!!  Have a great day!!  :>)

CTD273, WT460, Brightness...

This was kind of a fun card to make.  I did it for the color throw down challenge in which the colors were slate, dark gray, white, and turquoise.  The ways to use it challenge on SCS was to do something with a possible resolution you might have.  One of my ideas is to use more of my designer papers.  I have tons and can't justify buying anymore until I clean up some of my stuff - or use it.  Thanks for looking.  Let's all have a fun and creative year!!  :>)
