CC360 - Breath of Kindness...

This was my second card for today's color challenge.  I used some scraps from my first card.  I also wanted to make this card a bit more dramatic and added some black.  I'm not sure which card I like better.  I think they both turned out nice.

CC360 - The Blues...

Today is Color Challenge Day!!  Yeah!!  I love the color challenge, although using pool party, taken with teal, and white hardly seems like a challenge.  We were to try just using a sentiment.  I used two embossing folders and brayered ink on the white embossed sheets.  I popped up some of the layers, added my sentiment, and a few blue pearls.  I like how it turned out.

SC369, Morning Frost...

This was the sketch for the week.  While walking my dogs this morning, there was some sun shining through the clouds.  I was looking at the pretty foliage, and it was covered with snow and frost.  I tried to reproduce the beauty that I saw.  I used flower soft for my snow.

Speedy Fox Challenge #91 - Make a Birthday Card

This card was made for the 91st Speedy Fox Challenge.  The image is from the set Cowgirls Rule from Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co.  You can't see it very well, but the red panel is embossed with the Happy Birthday folder.  I watercolored the image, and paper pieced the girl's shirt.  I did some paper piercing, and added some twine around some rustic brads that you can also find at MFP, A Heinrich Co.

God's Beauty...

Yesterday I grabbed this image and colored it with prisma colored pencils.  Today I planned my layout and finished the card.  I put a nice sentiment on it from an old SU set called All I Have Seen.  I love God's creation.  I love to be outdoors and see all the wonderful nature God has created.  When I see a deer or fawn, I consider it a real blessing.

CC358, Vintage Valentine...

This card was made for today's color challenge.  The colors were pink pirouette, pretty in pink, and rose red.  I added the neutrals crumb cake and soft suede.  I think those colors give it a vintage feel.  The sentiment is from the set Love Remains - Mark's FInest Papers,  A Heinrich Co.

TLC360, CAS153, Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., Love Bud...

This is a card for two challenges I did on SCS.  The technique challenge was to use twine, and the clean and simple was to use the sketch of having three shapes with an image through it.  So that's my scoop.  The rose is from the set Love Remains from MFP, A Heinrich Co.

Speedy Fox Challenge #90 - Use an edge punch...

This card was made for the Speedy Fox Challenge #90 - to use an edge punch.  I used a punch from Martha Stewart.  My colored cardstock is amethyst and pear pizzazz.  I also used a piece of Basic Grey designer paper.  My roses are from the Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Co.'s new set titled Love Remains.  I watercolored them.

WT357, My Sweet Pups...

Today's challenge was to use stickers on your card.  I don't use stickers, and didn't think I had any.  Then I remembered my sister had given me some small albums and various embellishments to make some scrapbooks of my dogs.  Thus this card was made.

CC357, Cowgirls Rule...

Today's card was made for the color challenge  - to use blushing bride, red riding hood red, and baja breeze.  I used ruby red instead of red riding hood red.  I used chocolate chip and hazel nut tan as my neutrals.  I watercolored my horse and girl.  I paper pieced the girl's shirt.  I used two different embossing folders, and a piece of baja breeze dp.  I added 2 brads and some twine.  The image is a sneak peek of Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. called Cowgirls Rule.  It was a fun card to make, and I like how it turned out.

Mark's Finest Papers, A Heinrich Co. - A Single Rose...

This card was made with MFP, A Heinrich Co. 's new stamp set called Love Remains 2012.  I used prisma colored pencils to color the rose and leaves.  I used the leaf folder to emboss on the panel behind it.  This is also for the challenge to use a brad or brads.  I used one single pearl brad.

This was a fun and challenging sketch challenge.  I'm pleased with how it turned out.

CC356, Enjoy the Moment...

I was liking this color combo so much that I decided to do another card.  I popped up my image panel after inserting an antique brad, and using my ribbon underneath it.  That is actually a celery colored ribbon, but it matches quite well with pear pizzazz.

CC356, Enjoy the Moment...

Today's color challenge was to use Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Gray.  I substituted and used Taken With Teal and Pear Pizzazz.  I used a Tim Holtz set, and colored on my stamps with markers.

FS256, Lunar Lana, Coordinating Papers...

This card was made for the featured stamper's challenge.  The featured stamper this week is Lunar Lana.  I love the way she makes cards with beautifully coordinating papers.  I have always admired that.  The card of hers that I cased, is this

I pretty much copied right off of her - using coordinating designer papers from Basic Grey.  I used the ribbon and button as she did also.  I paper pierced on my sentiment which was different, as well as using the tea cup image from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  This was also the first card I uploaded with their new watermark.  I'm excited to be on their blog designer team.

Enjoy the first day of the New Year, and decide to make it a good one.  :>)
