This was for the technique lover's challenge. If something looks too involved or too difficult, I will often skip it. I am so glad that I gave this challenge a try. I loved it! There were so many awesome results with this technique. I used the wallpaper embossing folder and brayered some crumb cake on the folder. My other colors that I included with this were regal rose and soft suede. When heat embossing I used a copper embossing powder. I water colored the orchids from Flourishes. I really enjoyed making this card; it was something new and exciting for me.
My name is Kim, otherwise known as Luv Flowers on SCS. I have a love of flowers and I like to stamp them, color them, grow them, and take photos of them. One thing I do not do is smell them, I let my boy Alfie do that. I'm allergic.

CTD184 - Happy Easter...
I made this card for the Color Throwdown #184. We were to use elegant eggplant, certainly celery, brocade blue, and so saffron. This was a very old Easter basket image that I bought so many years ago, when I first showed an interest in stamping. I used a new embossing folder as well. The colors are very pretty and remind me of Easter.

FTTC160, Sweet Peas...
Well, as I look at my last post, I see that I used the same image. I guess I like it. This is for the next Timeless Tuesday Challenge over at Flourishes #160. We were to use lace and forms of scallops. I don't use these things very often, so it was a bit of a challenge. I'm not particularly good with edge punches. Practice makes perfect, right?! I enjoyed watercoloring the beautiful image.

FTTC159, Vintage Sweet peas...
This was for a fun challenge over at Flourishes. They gave us a still life to look at and requested we use at least 3 colors from it. I actually tried to capture all of the colors and added a bit of twin and lace to also capture what I saw. I enjoyed doing this challenge. The sweet pea image is one of theirs.

QFTD102, Judy, StampingQueenJAR...
Judy was picked as the Queen for the Day - or week. I did a pretty close case of her card. Hers is here, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2050151?perpage=48&thumbsonly=0&thumbcheck=
I changed the image panel to square, and I added a third panel with embossing on it that matches the style of the dp. I also added a couple extra layers. This baby is heavy. I added some brads, and different ribbon and twine.
