My name is Kim, otherwise known as Luv Flowers on SCS. I have a love of flowers and I like to stamp them, color them, grow them, and take photos of them. One thing I do not do is smell them, I let my boy Alfie do that. I'm allergic.

Spiral Roses - (today was my first try) :>)
Today was kind of a boring day. Thew weather was pretty nasty - 40 or so in April, and a bit rainy. Anyway, I decided to push myself into learning something new. I have liked those spiral roses, but never thought I would ever do them. They are new, and could be difficult. Well, I tried a video I saw through google, and it was great. I'm not good at linking stuff (or computers). Anyway, the directions were good and simple, and I tried it, and succeeded on the first try. Those are the kind of first tries that I like. Blah, blah, blah. I'm blogging now. The pearl came off of a card I did the other day, so I put my new spiral rose there. What do you think??

CT0412, CTD188, Enjoying the Sun...
This card was made for 2 challenges. 1. the Central Theme, which is let the sun in, and 2. the Color Throw down challenge - the colors being celery, artichoke, pink, and melon mambo. I love these colors together and use s cute stamp made by Penny Black. It's called Lily Pads. I did my coloring with prisma colored pencils. The fun part was arranging the different papers.

CC371, Crazy Cutting!!
This card was made for the wonderful color challenge on SCS. The color combo was white, gray, and sahara sand. I really didn't plan this card out. I stamped my image on all three colors of paper, and then when crazy cutting. This was the form that it fell into. No coloring at all, just lots and lots of cutting.

FLLC, Botanical Bookplates, Vol. 1
This is a set called Botanical Bookplates, Volume 1, and it is from Flourishes. I was blessed to win three of their new releases a few weeks ago. I don't often say this, but this card really does look better in real life. The yellow is a bit softer and the leaves show up a bit better also. Oh well. I added lace, ribbon, brads, and a flower brad, as well as dry embossing some designer paper. There really isn't too much you can do to ruin one of these beautiful images.

CTD187, Hummers are quick moments...
This card was made for a color throw down challenge. The colors are certainly celery, chocolate chip, so saffron, and lavender lace. I used the set elements of style from SU. I embossed 2 of the pieces of card stock and put a lot of things up on dimensionals. This is a pretty spring collection of colors and can be used to make many lovely cards.

FTTC164, FLLC, Berries
Today's Timeless Tuesday challenge is to use some fruit. I used the berry set from Flourishes. There are raspberries and blueberries in the set. I used prisma colored pencils with a blending medium. My card stock colors are concord crush and old olive. I also had a piece of designer paper that was concord crush. I then added some brads and paper piercing to give it some interest.
