This card was made for two challenges - the color throw down - #311, and for the Power Poppy Blog. I watercolored the azaleas and then fussy cut them out. I dry embossed on the kiwi kiss. My neutrals were used as a background. I dyed some white ribbon the color of the smokey slate. I punched out a couple of circles - one of which was on designer paper. I always enjoy doing these challenges. Thanks so much for looking and of course for any of your comments. :>)
My name is Kim, otherwise known as Luv Flowers on SCS. I have a love of flowers and I like to stamp them, color them, grow them, and take photos of them. One thing I do not do is smell them, I let my boy Alfie do that. I'm allergic.

cQc259, Live with Passion
This card was made for the 259th color challenge. The colors are blackberry bliss, blushing bride, summer sun fruit, calypso coral, and white. When I first looked at the colors I thought it was maybe a weird or difficult combination. When I began playing with them, I thought they looked great together and were not so difficult to use after all. Leaves can be many different colors in my mind. I did heat embossing for all of this. The leaves are from inkadinkado. The sentiment is from that very popular set from pretty long ago - I think called Live with Passion. (SU) Thanks for looking. Why don't you play?!! It's fun!! :>)

Floral Grid, CTD310, SUO
This card was done for the color throw down number 310. The colors I used were pistachio, cantaloupe, and carribean. I watercolored the flowers that are a set from SU called Sweetbriar Rose. The other stamps were from the SUO set French Foliage. I wasn't sure I was into pastel colors, but I like how my card turned out.

Get Well Wishes - CC495, SC505, FLLCMagnolias
I did this card for two challenges this week: Tuesday's color challenge with blushing bride, cajun craze, and pool party. Dessert was our choice of green - I used artichoke. The other challenge was the sketch challenge. My image is the magnolia set from Flourishes. I water colored it. I used 2 pieces of coordinating designer papers and dry embossed on one of the circles. I embellished with a bit of pool party ribbon.

Fall my Favorite - TLC498, wrap it around
For today's TLC Judy asked us to use a block and wrap something around it, and then ink it up. We could use dental floss, yarn, rubber bands, etc. I chose some burlap. I also gathered a little piece of nature while I was out walking my dog this morning. I chose vanilla card stock to ink on and then dry embossed a part of it. I found a small sentiment and used my burlap for an embellishment. I love the textures, colors, and smells of fall. This was an enjoyable card to make.

WT495 - There is always something to be thankful for. Charles Dickens
Today Sabrina challenged us to use leaves in our card. I was kind of overwhelmed, or had a lot of ideas. I started going with what I thought was more color, but then nixed that idea. My card ended up more on the clean and simple side. I really love that quote by Charles Dickens. It is so true. If we gave thanks for as much as we complain about, we might actually be happier people. I have read a bout Will Bowen's book, A Complaint Free World. Our town is going to embark on this challenge in October. Our church is going to do it as well. The goal is to go 21 days without complaining. I am really going to need God's help with this. I know I complain a lot.
